Reports: Red Wings reach deal to retain D Green

Defenseman Mike Green has agreed to a two-year, $10.75 million deal to remain with the Detroit Red Wings, according to multiple reports on Saturday.Green was set to become an unrestricted free agent on Sunday.The 32-year-old Green had 33 points (eight goals, 25 assists) in 66 games last season. His season was cut short by a neck injury that required surgery.Green is expected to be healthy by the start of training camp.Green has 142 goals and 322 assists (464 points) in 13 seasons. He spent his first 10 campaigns with the Washington Capitals before playing the past three with Detroit.
